I know I have mentioned these before, but they're just such a great idea. There are so many beautiful and unique bookmarks for sale nowadays - just browse Etsy or even your local bookshop and you'll be sure to find something they'll love.

Book Merch

If you happen to know your bookworm friend's favourite book, then the world is your oyster. Anything ranging from candles, to ornaments for their bookshelves, to tote bags with their favourite quotes on them - they will all work perfectly as Christmas gifts.

Book Journal

I was given a book journal as a going away present earlier this year and absolutely loved it. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, maybe even an ordinary notebook that you have personalised and put some love into. As long as they can write in it and make a record of all the books they've read, you'll put a smile on their face.

I know what you're thinking... This is such a cop-out idea. Yes, it may seem like one, but it's also extremely important. Everyone loves to munch on something whilst they curl up and read a book, so why don't you give your friend a huge supply of their favourite snacks to keep them going? 

Maybe even go to Get Fired and paint them their own snack bowl!

I started reading Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children towards the beginning of June and expected it to be a nice, easy read for summer. I knew it was aimed at readers a bit younger than me but in my experience if the plot line is interesting then the style of writing shouldn't get in the way. BLOGMAS #5: Favourite Book I've Received as a Christmas Present

Title: Letters of Note Author: Shaun Usher I have asked for many books for Christmas over the years but the one that always stands out in my memory is 'Letters of Note' by Shaun Usher. Plus, the story behind it is quite cute, if I say so myself... (Unfortunately this photo isn't mine - it's from the Letters of Note website . I'm currently living away from home in Switzerland so I am sadly without my copy of the book. I'm sure it's sitting happily on my bookshelf above my bed as we speak.) Back in my sixth form days, I remember making the trip to Waterstones everyday on my way home after school.
